words - gerard, tune - chas / si

this song was first performed on the day rock hudson died, and was named in his honour. other than that, it's got nothing to do wit him - it is actually about and for the woman i was in love with at the time, who informed much of the flowers lyric and general attitude back then. birgitte rhodes RIP. this was on the famous unreleased album.

It reminded me of you
And how we used to go, dancing in the snow

I wish I was living in a civil war
The grass grows greener
Where excitement flows
I want to bleed sweet blood
And taste the menstruation
Of a lunar cycle nation
For their love
Is like masturbation
To her….
